Just a quicky from me tonight as I am having a horrid day.

I picked up this cute swing dress from George for £10!!!

I am loving all the swing dresses that are about at the moment. I have my eye on a black and white heart print one from the G21 range at George! I have a bad addiction to Asda!!!

What I wore -

OOTD

I have to admit, since I started blogged and especially in the last 6 month, I have become an avid dress wearer.

I dont know if its because of the gained confidence or the fact they make me feel more girly, but around 70% of my wardrobe is now dresses!!!

My latest offering comes from the one and only Simply Be. As always I know that I can rely on Simply Be when I want dresses... I am currently lusting after about 7!!!

This dress is available in three different prints. This one is the bows and spot print.

I got a size 22 and it is a tad big, mainly on the arms, but it was still wearable!

What I wore...

Dress - Simply Be*
Tights - M&S - THEY HAVE TAGS IN THE BACK!!!!

OOTD - I've got the Power.....

As a few of you may know, Scarlett and Jo recently launched their new power fit dresses and I was lucky enough to be asked if I would like to try the Black Yoke Powerfit dress.

Available from Evans, the dress now comes in a multitude of colours and prints and is a staple item for every wardrobe. Some of the dresses, including this one, also feature the new mesh lining.

For some reason I get total bitch face when I wear these kind of dress...

I did find the dress was true to size, but I think for comfort I would have preferred a size bigger.

Whilst on one of my many weekly trips to Asda I saw this jumper and just had to have it!

It has fluffy shoulders!!!!!

Plus North - Pt1 - Day Dress

As I already mentioned in yesterdays post, last Saturday was the day that me and Becky had been working hard to organise for the last year! PLUS NORTH!

From all the blogs and pictures I have seen I think we can call this years event a success, even if I do say it myself!!

Through blogging I have been lucky to build some fantastic relationships with brands. None more so then Simply Be. I kid you not, half of my wardrobe is made up of Simply Be and my bank account definitely knows when it payday and I have to pay my account!!

As Simply Be were one of our main sponsors this year they kindly offered to dress me for the day event.

I fell in love with the Project D London Piccadilly dress but sadly it was, and still is out of stock :-(

As an alternative I picked another Project D dress. The Lincoln Maxi dress from the past season.

As always, when you have your heart set on something and then it doesn't happen I was a tad gutted, and until Saturday morning I still wasn't 100% sure that I liked the dress.

But I have to say it felt faaaabbbulous on! I received loads of compliments on the dress!

I could have maybe done with a pin to cover my modesty around the boob area, but apart from that I am glad I stuck with the dress and wore it!!

What do you think?

Curvissa - Plus North Spotlight Blog

Next up on our Plus North spotlight blog is Curvissa

Curvissa stocks size 14-32 exclusive brands. Styles include occasionwear, casual wear, jeans, jumpers, coats, lingerie, swimwear, footwear and accessories.

As part of the spotlight blog we were each sent this lush pinafore dress. In typical Toni style, I picked black (it also comes in check)!

As usual with Curvissa I had to massively size up. I ended up ordering a size 26 and it only just fit.

I wore the pinafore with a black long sleeve top and black leggings. I would also wear this with a white long sleeve top.

Check out the other girls posts.

Yours Clothing - Plus North Spotlight blog

With Plus North almost upon us myself, Becky and the rest of the Plus North team will be highlighting our Premier Sponsors on your blogs to give you a bit of an idea of what the day will have in store for you.

First up we have the amazing Your Clothing.

I have been a long time buyer from Yours Clothing and over the past few years have been excited to see that their range (a very extensive one!) has gone from strength to strength. Your Clothing seem to cover every age and every style with out compromising on price or quality.

As part of the spotlight blog we were asked if we would be interested in taking part in a 'Take 5 Plus North'. After looking through the website me and Becky decided that this dress would be ideal for the whole team!

So here I am wearing it! I wore it with my trusted denim jacket, tights and brogues and received compliments on it all day!

I can see this dress been an all season dress.. It would look fab with a long sleeved black tee, an oversized cardi and some knee highs....

Dont forget to see how the other ladies wore there dress....

Scarlett and Jo Review

A few weeks ago the lovely girls at Scarlett and Jo contacted me to see if I would like to review on the the new range that has just launched on Evans.

The dress I was sent was the Grey Jacquard Side Panel Dress, can can be found here on the Evans site.

To be honest, I was unsure whether It was 'me' when I first saw on, but I feels and looks so much better when its actually on.

For some reason I feel like a totally different person when I have this dress on.. Its very much a grown up, power women, business dress and if I worked in an office of that type I would have this dress is every colour available.

I even posed differently!!!

One only negative I have about this dress is the cross over bust... I don't know if it is because of the bra's I own or the dress, but I couldn't find one bra that didn't play peek a boo...

What do you think? Can I be business woman of the year 2013??

Day 4 - #30daychallenge

So we are in day 4 of the #30daychallenge and I have wobbled already!!!!

I missed day 3 due to been at my mums and she doesn't have the internet. And I found it really difficult to think of something that makes me uncomfortable apart from, well, life. But thst a whole other Jezza show!

Anyway, on with day 4. Today is my favourite quote. Well, its actually a song. But I love the lyrics. I love it some much I actually got part of it tattoo'd on my back.

You can all stop guessing which song it is, I'll tell you. Its 'Somewhere over the rainbow.

For me it symbolises hope. Hope that someday my issues will be gone, my mental health will be good and a number of other things.

I love the orginal from The Wizard of Oz (also my fave film). But my heart melts when I hear the Eva Cassidy version.

Ps. I will update this post with the other ladies links when I'm on a PC.

Project D for Simply Be

A few weeks ago Mhairi contacted me and asked if I'd like to review an item from the Project D range from Simply Be.

The range, designed by Dannii Minogue, is Simply Be's newest collaboration an is currently on sale now.

Along with four other fabulous bloggers we were set the Rockafeller Print Tunic which is currently retailing for £80.

Initially I thought the tunic would be too dressy for me, but with leggings and some strappy flat sandals I think I have made it look more casual. I adore the New York City scape on the tunic.

As the tunic is quite sheer I was glad that it came with a cami underneath. I ordered my normal size 22, the slip fitted perfect as its a silly material rather than stretchy. I would have liked the tunic to be a bit smaller though. I could have easily fit in to a size 20, but think the slip would have been too small.

I think this tunic would also be perfect for holidays. I would take the slip out and wear it over a black strapless swimsuit.

Make sure you remember to see how the other ladies styled the Rockafeller...

Fat Fabulous Four - Pastel

Due to the craziness of last weekend we decided to postpone this post until Saturday. I know, I know today is Monday, but I'm struggling a bit at the moment and wasn't sure if I was going to post this at all.

I've taken about 100 photos over the last few days of items I own that could be included in the theme of Pastel. I don't own many pastely coloured colours as them make me a bit washed out.

I finally settled on a pastel green top that I purchased from Simply Be months ago!

(Yes, even after taking a stoooopid amount of photos oon my camera, I settled with one taken in a supermarket toilet!!!!)

What I wore....

T-shirt - Simply Be
Black trousers - Evans (old)
Cardigan - Curvissa
Shoes - George at Asda

Here are Becky's, Mhairi's and Rosie's posts.

I apologise for the vagueness. Motivation, desire and willingness seems to have abandoned me. If you find it, I would be grateful if you would return it!

OOTD

On Monday I travelled across to Manchester to revisit our amazing venue for Plus North an meet the lovely girls from Label Pr and Simply Be.

I wasn't sure what the weather was going to decide to do, so I went save and opted from my ASOS Curve skater dress, leggings and my battered old denim jacket.

I actually wished id worn tights instead of leggings. I think the dress is too long to wear with leggings!

I also think I need to to find my sunglasses.....look at the squinting going on!!!

I'll be honest, this isn't my favourite outfit. I think I would have looked better with no jacket, a massive belt, tights and either a blazer type jacket or a bright colourful cardigan.

What do you think?

Fatshionology - A day at the Races!

Fatshionologie is a blogger style challenge born out of a discussion on twitter in the hope that it would help us create exciting new content for our blogs as well as show that each new style 'theme' can be rocked by a variety of different body shapes!

As soon as Becky suggested this theme I know exactly what I wanted to wear!

The dress is a drop hem dress from Yours clothing and was from the last season collection.

What I wore -

OOTD - Easter Monday

Sometimes an outfit is just so easy to wear and put together I could wear it everyday.

This is one of them. A dress with leggings and a cardigan is my perfect outfit.

When the new season range came out from Simply Be I was lucky enough to get my hands on a few items and this was one of them.

It also comes in a number of different colours. One of which been a mint green which would look lush when the sun eventually decides to play!

Another mirror pic, I am just been lazy.... I do actually have a decent camera and a tripod which I should use!

Apart from the material been loose under the bust, it fits perfect.

I am really loving the range of dresses that Simply Be have on offer at the moment, and I can't wait to start shopping for my holidays to buy them all!!!

OOTD

Do you ever get the feeling that you issued something? I honestly feel like I have slept for the entire summer and we are back in November. What I wouldn't give for a few days of nice warm weather....

And as much as I'd like to hibernate for a few more weeks, I went out to my mums for dinner.

When the new Simply Be range came out I was lucky enough to be able to choose a few items.

I loved this top as soon as I saw it! Its so cute. I got it in my normal size 22 and it fits perfectly. It fact I have worn it 3 times this week! I can't wait to wear it with a pair of cropped jeans and sandals.

Top - Simply Be
Jeggings - Dorothy Perkins
Shoes - Barratts

Barratts shoes Review

The lovely Kieron from Barratts shoes recently asked on twitter if anyone would be interested in reviewing some shoes from Barratts. Having the love affair I do with shoes I jumped at the chance.

After choosing a pair of Chelsea boots, I eagerly waiting their delivery. As soon as they arrived I feel in love. However, my horrid fat feet didn't like them. They were too narrow. I had managed to get my feel on them but they looked stupid and felt too tight!

I contacted Kieron and advised him that I needed to exchange them. He advised me that I could exchange in store. So after work on Friday I went for I nosy.

The Barratts in Leeds is pretty small and I didn't have much choice but I finally chose 2 pairs of flats that I love!

They are both uber comfy and will look great with jeans, trousers and dresses alike!

The first pair are patent with larger studs. I wore them for a few hours and they rubbed slightly but not enough to put me off wearing them again.
l,!:-) ':-) :-) ' '

These are my favourite pair. They are literally like slippers. They have small studs and come in different colours. I will be going back at the end of the month!

I'll be honest, Barratts isn't somewhere I shop often, I always thought that they were over priced, but if you get Barratts own they are very reasonable.

What do you think? Do you shop at Barratts?

Fatshionologie - Trousers

Fatshionologie is a blogger style challenge born out of a discussion on twitter in the hope that it would help us create exciting new content for our blogs as well as show that each new style 'theme' can be rocked by a variety of different body shapes!
This months theme was trousers. I practically live in black trousers during the week as I wear them to work, and I love wearing jeans too, but saying that I found this months theme really difficult. I have a love/hate relationship with black trousers. I love black trousers/I hate that I cant find the perfect ones. All I want is a cotton pair of bootcut black trousers woth pockets..... Is that so hard??? Well, apparently so!
My favourite black trousers at the moment are a pair fron New Look that I got via eBay. They have pockets and the material is so/so.
I wear them with many a different tops and jumpers.
Here I am wearing a Jumper from Simply Be (I wasnt aware that you could see my bra until after I took the picture!!!)
Do you have any recommendations for black trousers? Where do you get yours from?
You can see the other Trousers themes by clicking the link below!

OOTD - Disaster!!

A style I had admired on a number of my favourite bloggers is Body Con.

I'm not quite at the stage where I want my rolls and belly on display so I thought I'd try the style with some layering.....

IT WAS A DISASTER!!!!

I purchased a midi body con dress from Primark, and I knew straight away it felt wrong but it was 7am in the morning and most things feel wrong at that time!

I put on my trusty black long sleeved top and black tights and felt ready to face the world!!!

But by the time I returned home I looked like this!!!

Sack of potatoes springs to mind! I loved the top half, but a loose, baggy skirt isn't supposed to be body con is it?

However, I will try again. I have purchased the black body con dress from New Look Inspire. I hope that spending a bit more will ensure the quality will be a mile better!!!!

Hmmmmmmmmmm.....

OOTD

This is last Sundays OOTD whilst in London.

Me and Becky had plans to go out and about and soon realised that our plans had been scuppered by the bloody tube with its maintenance works so we decided to head straight to Kings Cross.

As you can see I look a tad ropey and I wish I could tell you it was a hangover, but unfortunately I was just exhausted!

Skinny jeans - George @ Asda
Jumper - AX Paris

OOTD - Papillon

A few weeks ago myself and Becky were lucky enough to be invited to Simply Be HQ to discuss Plus North. Whilst there we meet the lovely Jess from Label PR.

Once we had discussed Plus North Jess asked if we would like to review anything from the new Simply Be range.

One of the items that I really liked was the Butterfly Skater dress.

Normally I avoid skater dress as they done suit me. But I really like this one. And it has pockets!!!

I wore the dress with an oversized Cardi and tights.

Has anything caught your eye from the new Simply Be range?
