OOTD - dress down Fridays

This was my Friday dress down outfit.

My normal office attire is pretty boring and I tend to stick to black trousers and a top during the week. One day I am going to go in my baggy joggers and Uggs just so I can see everyone's face!

This pretty grey thing is from Simply Be. For some reason I never saw this online. I actually picked it up from the Simply Be store in Doncaster.

It also has cute plether heart patches on the elbows! Yet again I teamed it with my trusty Tesco black skinnys and flats.

The Big Boot Challenge pt 2 - Yours Clothing

So here we are again and I have another pair of boots that fit my fat calf's!

These boots are from the lovely Yours Clothing.

The boots retail at £79 and are available in a XL and XXL calf.

Before I received them I was a bit sceptical as the size guide states that the XXL boots fit up to a 462mm.

As you can see from the picture, the boots have a buckle around the calf. As my calfs are bigger than the stated size, I found them restricted and swiftly removed them! (Yes , I took a pair of scissors to them!)

The boots themselves where really comfy. The leather is really soft and the elastic in them is really strong. I Would even go as far to say that you could get another few cm out of them.

The only down side I found is that they fell down a bit and got a bit baggy around the ankles. But I can live with that!

Plus sized clothing from Bonmarche.co.uk

OK! I'll be totally honest with you. Bonmarche isn't a shop I would generally visit, but some of the plus size clothing from www.bonmarche.co.uk may suprise you.

 Some of the items are a little mature for me and don't really suit my my tastes. However, I have found a few few hidden gems.

Tankini bottoms - £3.50 (sale)

Tankini top - £6 (sale)

I was really surprised by the swimwear range, and the whole holiday range in general. For plus sized swimwear, the prices are excellent. I will definitely have to remember to check them out for my next years holiday!

Sequin neck jumper - £25

David Emanuel Leopard print dress - £30

Bon Marche have some really nice items. I was pleasantly surprised.  My favourite is definitely the sequin jumper and the Adele style coat.

The size range is amazing! Starting at a size 10 and with most items going up to a size 26, and some up to a size 32.

Yes, its a bit mother of the bridey, and the range could be massively updated, but for the time being, there is definitely some really good items.

I really hope that the interest in bloggers means they want to improve the range.

Going out????

I have a problem.

I literally have no going out clothes! 

Since I don't go out very often and generally only wear work clothes (yes, I'm a slave to my horrible job!)  I am at a dead end of what I should buy. I love dresses, but equally love skinny jeans and statement tops. 

In the next six weeks I have my boyfriends 30th, my birthday, a christening and a few other dates.

So steel me what you think about this outfit!

Winter coat wish list

As the weather seems to have taken a turn for the worse and the cold nights have started drawing in, all my attention has turn towards coats. 

I hate coat shopping. I dread this time of year when I literally want to buy every coat in every colour and have to whittle it down to just one. I tend to stay away from expensive coats as I generally buy a new one every year. 

I am yet to find my coat for this year, but have found the perfect transitional coat to keep me covered for now!

Once again it comes from Tesco, and is part of their True range.

I love parka style coats and for £30 this one is a complete steal. I sized up to a 24 so I could fit countless layers under and still feel comfortable

The Big Boot Challenge - Simply Be

WoooooooooHoooooooooooooooo!!!!!!

We finally foot boots for all use 20 inch calf girls!!!

The Big Boot Challenge is here!! Over the next few month, Myself and Becky (MrsBeBe) will (hopefully), be review a host of boots for the bigger calved amongst us.

The first pair of boots is from the amazing Simply Be. They have once again listen to customer feedback and have brought us the Super Curvy Calf (I like how it's not called the ultra ultra ultra extra ultra wide calf boot). Boasting calf widths up to 540mm (size dependant) they are THEE most generous calf fitting boots available to buy. 

Myself and Becky ended up picking the same boots to review.

When I picked these boots, I was still a bit unsure that they would fit as the size guides hadn't gone online.....BUT THEY DID!

I honestly cant tell you how excite I was when I tried them on!

The first time I wore them, they rubbed a little on the back of one of my heels, but apart from that they are super super super lush and I have worn them almost every day since.

I am definitely going to get another pair of the super curvy boots, although I might get a size bigger so I can wear them with skinny jeans!

I asked the lovely Charlotte at Simply Be if there was any plans to expand the range and she informed me that it was sales dependant. So I urge you all to go and buy a pair!
