Summer loving swap

A little while ago the lovely Kim suggests that we have a little blogger swap. I thought I was an amazing idea! Not only do we get a little gift from a 'mystery' elf, we also had to research our giftee and find out what they like!

We set a limit of £5 and began asking secret questions on elfster. We were asked to post our gifts on the 2nd so they could received by the 5th......

Here is what I received....

Barry M Gelly polish, MUA eyesp shadow and a lip stain.

Once everyone has received their gifts, Kim is going to do a npbig reveal!!!!

I hope my giftee liked her gift!!!

So Fabulous range with Littlewoods.com Bloggers Event!

Last week I was lucky enough to be invited to a So Fabulous range with Littlewoods.com bloggers event at their press office in Soho.

For those of you who are unaware of So Fabulous, they are the Plus range of Very and Littlewoods.

Upon arrival of the venue we were greeted by Elly and the So Fab team.

After a quick look around the current range and a sneak preview of the AW13 range, we were split in to two groups for a style challenge. Becky was our willing volunteer model and we had to dress her for a night out to the theatre.

Myself, Lauren and Kirsty decide on a feather print dress with mesh arms and neckline. To be honest, the dress didn't look like much on the hanger, but it looked amazing on Becky.

We also managed to find an amazing pair of shoes which match the dress perfectly....even if
Becky couldn't walk very far in them!

So Fabulous have some amazing items coming out shortly and I cant wait to get my hands on them!!

This is my favourite dress ever...I'm a bit addicted to Nashville and the whole country thing at the moment!

I love this dress but I would never wear it.

I also got to meet the amazing Lauren for the first time. I am a long time admirer of her blog and can't wait for Plus London in November

After the event a few of us went out for a meal. We found an amazing little Greek place which is delicious!

Thank you So Fabulous for a wonderful evening......maybe your next event could be in Liverpool???

Life's Big Canvas

We all know how amazing Life's Big Canvas jewellery is, right?

But did you know Chloe has started to sell stationary and crafty stuff? Been the stationary whore I am, this made me very excited!! Life's Big Canvas is located a very very short walk away from where I work in Leeds and I love visiting Chloe!!!

Chloe kindly gifted me a few items from her new stock to show you!

Ahhh, can't beat a good note book.... I know have three in my work bag!!! (I bought the notes book!)

Rubber stamp and matching necklace.

How amazing is the 'make it yourself' felt bird???? You can also get 'make your own' key rings, badges, magnets, photo frames and jewellery. If you visit Life's Big Canvas, located at the Birds Yard in Leeds, you can also have a look through the range of Tatty Divine that is in stock....and if I am not mistaken, she has a Lobster necklace!!!

Since the opening of the Trinity in Leeds, I really feel that the small independant business are struggling. So if you live in Leeds, or you happen to be visiting, I urge you to visit Birds Yard....

#FFF - Oversized

Okay, okay, I know I am a bit late....I promise I have a good excuse.....my mother doesn't have the internet and I spent the weekend there!!!

The theme for this weekends post is oversized. At first thought I thought I would breeze this one. I one oversized clothing, especially tops. I had also been eyeing up this beaut from ASOS Curve.

I love the of shoulder element and presumed that If i sized up it would be oversized and fall off my shoulder even more!

I ordered a size 24 presuming I would get the look I wanted.... and to be honest I was a bit disappointed. Yes It over sized, but it doesn't fall off my should as much as I would like it too. As it a bargain at £12 I will more than likely order the 26, maybe even the 28 if it comes in that size!

What do you think? Would you size up?

Don't forget the visit Mhairi, Becky's and Rosie's blogs to see how they styled 'oversize'......

Now to prepare for the next theme............. I may need help!!!!

Project D for Simply Be

A few weeks ago Mhairi contacted me and asked if I'd like to review an item from the Project D range from Simply Be.

The range, designed by Dannii Minogue, is Simply Be's newest collaboration an is currently on sale now.

Along with four other fabulous bloggers we were set the Rockafeller Print Tunic which is currently retailing for £80.

Initially I thought the tunic would be too dressy for me, but with leggings and some strappy flat sandals I think I have made it look more casual. I adore the New York City scape on the tunic.

As the tunic is quite sheer I was glad that it came with a cami underneath. I ordered my normal size 22, the slip fitted perfect as its a silly material rather than stretchy. I would have liked the tunic to be a bit smaller though. I could have easily fit in to a size 20, but think the slip would have been too small.

I think this tunic would also be perfect for holidays. I would take the slip out and wear it over a black strapless swimsuit.

Make sure you remember to see how the other ladies styled the Rockafeller...

31 Days of May

A few weeks ago Kaye mentioned on twitter that she was thinking about posting every day during May, having done this myself during December I tweeted Kaye and asked if I could jump on the band wagon and join her!!!
Over the coming days Nikki and Becca also expressed an interest in joining.
Unlike December I plan to be super organised….but let’s see….
I am going to mix it up a bit in terms of posts. I really want to expand my blog to beauty and lifestyle so I guess this is the perfect opportunity!
You can follow our hashtag on twitter for updates and notifcations #31daysofmay!
