Sooooooo Fabulous Darling

A few weeks ago myself and Becky were invited to visit the So Fabulous head quarter's in Liverpool.

In case you don't know So Fabulous is the plus size range from Very.

upon arrival we were met by the lovely Phil and Lisa who showed us around the building and introduced us to the rest of the So Fabulous team.

The team was made up of Phil and John (assistant Merchandisers), Kerry (merchandiser), Lisa and Jo (assistant buyer and buyer), Rachel (designer) and Catherine (QA Tech).

We discussed thing like, what we thought of the range (above average for a plus range). Who the main competitor's where (ASOS Curve, New Look Inspire and Simply Be), etc etc. I found it really refreshing to meet a brand, designers and buyers, that is interested in finding out what plus size women want. That take the time to listen to the people that buy their product as and want to expand the range.

Then the fun part came.

We were asked before hand what our favourite items from the AW range were so we could try them on and have our photos taken.

As you can see, Mrs Barnes is a natural in front if the camera, I am a totally different story!!!! And she wouldn't take the heels off for the last picture!!!

I was really surprised by the fit of everything. Some of the dresses that I tried on where pretty short and tight fitting but other than that I was massively impress. All the super soft skinnies I tried on fitted well, the normal skinnies are amazing! The tops are a good length, and the jackets and coats are a true fit.

I am very excited about the future of So Fabulous. From the trend boards for future ranges, to finding out that the clothes are cut from a standard size 20.

I really think that So Fabulous should be a separate entity from Very as I believe it would be a roaring success. At the moment its seems to be hidden away at the back of the South Range with out any advertising.

The range is as current as ASOS curve, New Look Inspire and Simply be but still very affordable.

I can't wait to go back to HQ and see the SS13 range!! (Yes, we have both invited ourselves back!!)

Here are a few of my favourite items from the range!

What do you think? Do you think So Fabulous could be one of the front runners in Plus Size fashion?

Lazy OOTD

On Friday me and Becky visited the Very HQ in Liverpool  to meet with the So Fabulous team (which you will hear lots more of in a few days). Becky and her dad very kindly picked me up on route and away we went!

I want to wear something warm but comfy and found the perfect jumper at George.

George always have lush jumpers and this one is no exception.

For some reason I didn't get a picture on Friday, so I wore the same outfit today to go to the cinemas with my sister!

Its a lovely Arron knit and very oversized. I got the 20/22 but a 16/18 would have been more than big enough.

You can't see here but the jumper has lovely batwings and is slightly longer at the back.

I wasn't too sure when I first put it on but the cosiness of it made me love it!

What do you think? Are you a fan of oversized knits?

OOTD - dress down Fridays

This was my Friday dress down outfit.

My normal office attire is pretty boring and I tend to stick to black trousers and a top during the week. One day I am going to go in my baggy joggers and Uggs just so I can see everyone's face!

This pretty grey thing is from Simply Be. For some reason I never saw this online. I actually picked it up from the Simply Be store in Doncaster.

It also has cute plether heart patches on the elbows! Yet again I teamed it with my trusty Tesco black skinnys and flats.

The Big Boot Challenge pt 2 - Yours Clothing

So here we are again and I have another pair of boots that fit my fat calf's!

These boots are from the lovely Yours Clothing.

The boots retail at £79 and are available in a XL and XXL calf.

Before I received them I was a bit sceptical as the size guide states that the XXL boots fit up to a 462mm.

As you can see from the picture, the boots have a buckle around the calf. As my calfs are bigger than the stated size, I found them restricted and swiftly removed them! (Yes , I took a pair of scissors to them!)

The boots themselves where really comfy. The leather is really soft and the elastic in them is really strong. I Would even go as far to say that you could get another few cm out of them.

The only down side I found is that they fell down a bit and got a bit baggy around the ankles. But I can live with that!

You can find out what Becky thought of her boots by clicking on her name.

Is there any boots that you can suggest we try for our challenge?

Until next time,
